As part of a major service initiative, BAWAG P.S.K. is modernizing its existing branches. The goal is to create a homely and comfortable atmosphere, replacing the previous cold and unwelcoming environment. The technology in the branches is also being upgraded significantly, with the latest VoIP technology being implemented for telephony. UNICOPE gladly supports the modernization of BAWAG’s communication as a strong communication partner, helping to enhance the well-being of both customers and employees.
The modern and user-friendly clients of mobile landline are the key to successful corporate communication. Therefore, it is not surprising that BAWAG P.S.K. focuses on integrating smartphones into their communication concept and equips them with the mobile landline app. The concept of a “mobile workplace” has received great approval among employees, and the mobile landline apps fully support them, whether working from home, attending customer meetings, or being present in the branch. The apps provide the convenience and features of a full-fledged extension but combined with the modern user interface of smartphone apps. In addition, a new client concept based on the IGEL OS operating system has been implemented for the headquarters as part of the transition from Windows 7. This is how modern corporate communication works today!
Security and redundancy are crucial for companies, especially in the banking sector. Leveraging its extensive experience in business communication, UNICOPE collaborated with BAWAG P.S.K. to develop a fail-safe concept that relies on multiple providers across different communication channels. Through intelligent failover, even in the event of a complete provider outage, corporate communication can be ensured.
Not only do all 74 branches in Austria, with a total of over 1,000 extensions, receive the modern VoIP telephony solution mobile landline, but the headquarters of BAWAG P.S.K. in the Icon Tower in Vienna will also be equipped with over 2,000 extensions. This guarantees seamless collaboration and communication between the headquarters, branches, field employees, and customers.
Remarkably, the project was implemented by communication partner UNICOPE at an incredible speed. In just 6 weeks, all 74 branches were equipped with phones and smartphone apps, correctly configured according to specifications, and the employees were trained on the new system.
